biakosta is an illustrator and animator that specializes in non-fictional comics, illustrated essays, educational and explaining communication through hand-drawn, fun and colorful drawings.

I'm biakosta (a.k.a. Beatriz Costa) and I am a freelance illustrator, comic artist and animator from Portugal.
I studied Communication Design at the Fine Arts Faculty of Porto (BFA) and Visual Communication at Konstfack University in Stockholm (MFA).
✐ I love drawing, thinking and talking about drawing.
Besides my illustration and animation practice, I like community driven events and sharing my knowledge in workshops and lectures. Like my first TED talk at TedxUniversidadeCoimbra. Currently I’ve been organizing Drink and Draw events in Coimbra.
